Contact Scheduling Manager

All Bounce team members need to download the 2 apps below (Homebase and GroupMe) to properly view their schedule and communicate with their co-workers/managers.

All communication regarding work is expected to be polite and professional.

Work Schedule

Homebase is a scheduling app that you will be using to view your schedule and request any changes/covers.

Coworker Communication

GroupMe is an app we use to make group chats with your coworkers where you can ask for covers.

*GroupMe is the only acceptable communication for team members. Management and team members are not allowed to go to Human Resources with any communication over social media platforms or any other communication application but GroupMe, texting and/or calling.

Scheduling Guidelines

Everyone is assigned a minimum of one shift on the permanent schedule upon hiring.

The permanent schedule is posted and pinned in the GroupMe chats for the corresponding schedule. The schedule is posted weekly on the Homebase app where employees can view their weekly scheduled times.

If you need to come off a permanent shift, you must give your scheduling manager two weeks notice and be actively looking for someone to take your permanent shift. Your scheduling manager will also work to find a replacement during that two-week period.

All team members are required to have a minimum of one permanent shift.

Hour Requirements

We do have biweekly hour requirements that our team members need to hit because it costs money to keep people enrolled in our payroll system. Every employee must work fifteen hours every pay period (two weeks long) or eight hours every pay period if working a glow night shift (8-10pm). Employees will be notified through GroupMe or text message if they do not reach the hour requirements. If an employee has an excused reason for not meeting the hours requirement they will be required to provide proof. If an employee's hours are involuntarily cut, they will be excused for that specific pay period.

  • Excused reasoning include: Vacation, Sickness, Scheduled Testing, Prom, Etc.

  • Sports / Other Jobs do not fall under excused shifts. We have hours around sport times that accommodate regular hours / seasonal sports seasons.

  • The employer has the ability to request proof of any scheduled time off to excuse the employee.

Notifications of Missed Hour Requirements:

If an employee does not reach their hours for the bi-weekly pay period, they are alerted the following week via groupme. The employee is sent detailed information on missing their hour requirement, how many times this has occurred, and are given the opportunity to fill out a form that explains documented vacations/call-outs/sickness. Scheduling managers review the names of employees prior to requirement notifications to ensure they did not reach out to them ahead of time.

  • If employees have eligible reasoning for missing their hours, the employee is marked as excused for that pay period and sent a reminder that they must continue to follow the hour requirements.

  • Most scheduling issues can be resolved with basic communication between the employee and their scheduling manager.

Employees are notified in this order:

  • First Warning - notifies the employee that they have missed their hour requirements for the previous pay period- if unexcused, employees are notified that they are required to hit their hours for the following pay period or their position will be terminated.

  • Second Notification: notifies the employee that they have missed their hour requirements for TWO pay periods in a row. If unexcused, employees are given the chance to sign up for an additional permanent shift or to terminate their position.

Requesting A Leave:

  • We understand that hour requirements may not be reachable to many of our high school students through different seasons, such as AP / SAT testing weeks, prom & graduations, and of course, sports seasons.

  • With that being said, any extended amount of time where an employee is unable to commit to our hour requirements (typically 3 weeks or more), the employee should request a leave. We will remove the employee from our payroll system and enroll them if they decide to return after their extended break.

Day of Shift Expectations and Guidelines:

Clocking In & Out:

  • Every employee must clock in before their shift starts and clock out after their shift is over

  • If an employee is given a break, they must clock out when starting the break and clock back in once the break is over.

Break Policy

  • Employees working 6 hours or less a day, however the shift is split up, do not get a break (ex. 9-12 and 7-10). Employees who work 6+ hours consecutively are entitled to a break.

    • 6hr = 30 Minute Break

    • 7hr = 45 Minute Break

    • 8hr = 60 Minute Break

  • Bounce Bites! - If an employee works over 8.5+ consecutively, they earn a Bounce! Bites Gift Card that they are able to redeem at our in-house kitchen! Please alert management to receive your gift card.

Bathroom Breaks

  • All team members are asked to actively try to use the bathroom before their shift begins. All team members must get coverage of their position to go to the bathroom. If you need to take a bathroom break, you must use the walkie-talkie to call a manager over.
