Requesting Time Off

We always approve time off requests with two weeks notice. All requests need to be submitted through our Homebase scheduling app in order to be approved. In addition to putting in a time off request, you must actively be looking for a cover.

  • Taking Time Off within Two Weeks of Shift

    • Reach out to your scheduling manager to notify them of requested time off.

    • Submit time off request through homebase.

    • Look for coverage via groupme in the designated area

  • What To Do If You Need To Arrive Late Or Leave Early Prior to Day of:

    • If you are aware of this need prior to your shift, please reach out to your scheduling manager.

    • You are required to fill out “Employee Request to Leave Early Form” (linked below).

    • Attempt to find coverage for the expected late arrival or early departure.

    • You must have a valid reason for arriving late or leaving early

    • Arriving late or leaving early may not be always accepted, excused, or allowed

Employees are required to follow scheduling policy outlines based on holiday or regular scheduling.

Shift Coverage

  • When an employee needs to find a cover for their scheduled shift, they need to ask in the designated group chat via groupme. This can be done by asking “Can anyone please cover me Saturday 12-5pm?”

    • If an employee offers to pick up the shift, the team member with the original shift is responsible for documenting this in the group chat and tagging their scheduling manager. “@Team Member Name is covering me Saturday 12-5pm @ Kate Brennan.”

    • The employee is then responsible for documenting their cover on Homebase, our team scheduling app. Instructions are attached at the bottom of this document.

    • If the employee does not get a cover from another employee, and it is impossible for them to make their shift, they must be in contact with the scheduling manager so they can make any required adjustments for the days’ schedule.

What to do if you cover a coworkers shift and are unable to do it:

  • It is your responsibility to find coverage for the shift once you have accepted it.
